I love plain yogurt, but there are times when only a fruity yogurt will do. Since the shop-bought ones all contain sugar or artificial sweetener (yes, all of them!) I always make my own.
This sweet, fruity smoothie is almost a meal in itself. It makes the perfect healthy mid-afternoon snack for all the family. My son calls it “mmmoothie” which I choose to take as proof that babies also find it absolutely delicious!
Recipe tips
Omit nuts for those with tree-nut allergies and for babies under the age of one year in case of allergies.
Ingredients
300 g (1 1/3 c) full-fat or Greek yogurt (why full fat?)

2 soft prunes
1 handful almonds/ground almonds
50 g (1/4 c) strawberries (or raspberries, or blueberries)
1 banana *optional*
Cinnamon to taste
Method
1. Put all ingredients into a blender, or a mixing bowl if using a hand-held blender.
2. Blend until smooth (with some fruity bits) and serve immediately, or store in the fridge until required.
3. Serve in a glass with a thick, wide straw.
