Mint tzatziki

Suitable from 10 months

Mint tzatziki
Homemade tzatziki tastes so much better than the store-bought kind and is very simple to make. It is a great recipe to make alongside your little chef, who can help to tear up the mint, grate the cucumber or squeeze the garlic press and of course, stir the ingredients together.

For me this tzatziki conjures up memories of Greek islands in the sun. For my son it just means a yummy minty yogurt he can dip his carrots into.

This recipe is a great accompaniment to our chicken, garlic & coconut burgers or falafel recipes.

Recipe tips
Children love the cooling taste of cucumber and yogurt, so for them you could even make a super quick version using only those ingredients, although including the garlic is a good way to get them used to the flavour.
